Place quality in high-speed rail station areas: Concept definition

چکیده
High-speed railway (HSR) station areas are expected to benefit urban environments, not simply as transportation or economic hubs but also places contributing living quality. However, the relationship between HSR and place quality has received systematic attention, despite evolution of planning paradigms toward a clearer focus on life. We have reviewed 44 academic articles written 1996 2019 analyzed concepts spanning disciplines design, planning, economics. identified three dimensions commonly associated with place: spatial dimension aesthetic qualities spaces; socio-cultural experienced “sense place”; an agglomeration activities. Then we worked out these in context attributed features accordingly. concluded that far outweighs others debates, dominant theories being primarily concerned land use, accessibility, performance. Studies from design field tackled elements showed strong correlation dimension. literature remains insufficiently developed when it comes addressing user experience place.”
